Donald Lee Wallace battled cancer for years and he didn’t do it alone. He wanted every one to know he didn’t give up with out a fight. He passed on May 14,2010. I recently found this letter my dad wrote.
12/22/2006
Tonight I sure appreciate the 2 electric heaters & my tv, especially all the ballgames & news.
But I am mostly thankful that I can do physical work; mostly feel good; able to live & enjoy my life; and still able to occasionally help others and others also help me! I feel very fortunate to have lived some adversities & been able to bounce back seven different times, And sometimes when I’m in the woods, along a scenic stream, I stop & look to the sky and quietly say,
“thank you.”
So long for now,
Dad
