The Simmons, they drove across America on Faith.
They knew every day God kept them Safe on a Journey through Life.
Mark and Lori Simmons only knew Washington State as home. With hard times due to the economy. Lack of work in the Northwest. They knew they had to start over were they would have a higher survival rate in this economy. Despite these and other life challenges, neither Lori nor Mark has lost hope.
Over 100 photos in this book chronicle the couple’s pilgrimage from Lake Stevens, Wash., to Brandon, Fla., a road trip undertaken in faith
that, just as bad things happen that are unexplainable, God also keeps
us safe and creates a world of beauty and wonder.
On the other side of the country, the sunny beaches of white sand and
impossibly blue water, Lori’s parents, and the hope of better jobs
await them. But like all such trips, it is not without risk or
heartbreak – the couple must say goodbye to the place where they grew
up, their three grown sons and a teenage daughter choosing to finish
high school while living with her father. And so their journey
through the United States is as much about letting go as it is about
striking off into the unknown to seek a new start.
Senator Ted Kennedy suffered brain cancer. My step brother Clyde passed due to the same. Which is why we need to work together and find a cure for cancer. Yesterday I received a letter from Fran Dascher because I’m a member of Cancer Schmancer Movement. That is when I learn Fran Descher was able to work with Senator Ted Kennedy on the Gynecologic Cancer Education and Awareness Act, a bill.

Senator Ted Kennedy made his stamp in this world we live in and for that I’m truly thankful for all that he has done and has made things possible for us.

Patrick Swayze battled pancreatic cancer. He and his family battled together for 20 months.
As an amazing actor he still continued to play a role in the A&E drama series “The Best”.
He stared in the movie Dirty Dancing and Ghost.
He danced his way into so many hearts including his wife right from the start. They first met when she was taking dance lessons by Patrick’s mom Patsy” Karnes. Patrick and his wife Lisa Niemi married for 34 wonderful years. He was an amazing Actor, Dancer, singer, and song writer. He was a real life cow boy like his dad.
Patrick Swayze once said to a large audience,”Will you stand with me, will you stand up to cancer with me?”
I will be that person who will stand up to cancer, will you?

Truly you are a talented and caring woman. You made a trip across country that not many would do in these times. Can’t wait to see the book.
